The shaving cream has a smooth texture which doesn't run. This is essential when trying to juggle the cream, tube and shaving brush all at once. It sits well on the brush and lathers easily to form a thick and firm foam which lasts the length of the shave, lubricating the blade well and allows for confident strokes. A superb shave.
The fragrance has a rich deep classic touch to it, with the Sandalwood notes being backed up with lavender and citrus, unlike other creams which are just sandalwood. This gives for a wonderful scent and is a refreshing change from the norm.
I'd heard a lot about Taylor of Old Bond Street and they completely lived up to their name. This is a classic, quality shave and enhancings the morning ritual no end. The two products work really well together and I have no doubt they are going to become regulars on the shaving shelf.
